    or
  • If the insured is suffering from a cognitive impairment endangering his health or safety (for example, Alzheimer's disease and other types of permanent senile dementia).

A 20-Pay option is available!

This premium payment option offers your clients the comfort and security that no additional premiums will be payable after a 20-year period! To learn more, refer to the Independent Living 20 product description.

An extremely flexible product

To qualify for Independent Living benefits, the insured requires a doctor's diagnosis. The insured can use the Independent Living benefits as they wish and doesn't have to submit any receipts.

With Independent Living, the insured person chooses where to receive the care required. The contract doesn't require the insured to be admitted to a long-term care facility. The insured can continue to live in the comfort of his own home, if he wishes to do so. Plus, the amount of the benefit will not be affected if family members provide some of the care.

Assistance services included

With Independent Living, your clients have free access to a full range of assistance services for expert advices.

As soon as the contract takes effect, your client can get all the health, legal and daily living information they need.

In case of loss of independence, other assistance services that are of inestimable value to the client and his loved ones are offered. Health professionals are available to answer all questions and help the client and his family get through a difficult period. Health professionals can also visit the client at his/her home to evaluate his needs and organize the health care services required.
