Enhanced Term 10 is guaranteed term insurance with variable critical illness "advance benefit" protection.

How it works

Enhanced Term 10 with Critical Illness Advance is a preferred term plan bundled with critical illness protection. Whether death or illness occurs, a benefit is paid. Premiums are fully guaranteed and increase every 10 years.

The critical illness "advance benefit" amount is selected at time of application only. Desjardins Financial Security will allow the applicant to select any amount of "advance benefit", subject to plan minima and maxima. Applicants must indicate what portion of the total policy amount (any percentage between 25 and 100%) is to be "advanced" in the event of a critical illness. Once an advance benefit is paid, the remaining portion of the policy remains in effect as a life insurance benefit. If 100% of the policy face amount is designated as a critical illness benefit, the policy will terminate upon the payout of the benefit amount.

Why should your client consider Enhanced Term 10 with Critical Illness Advance?

Consider the possibility of being unable to work. How would you cope with the day-to-day expenses associated with your lifestyle, business debts, or the extraordinary costs not covered by provincial health care plans? You may have a healthy savings account or retirement fund but relying on these assets only jeopardizes your future financial goals. A little forward thinking today can mean peace of mind tomorrow!

Enhanced Term 10 with Critical Illness Advance is the ideal complement to your existing life, disability or mortgage insurance portfolio. It's term insurance with a definite enhancement!

In fact, it is a unique blend of life insurance and critical illness coverage that protects assets and lifestyle against the untimely and devastating consequences of a serious illness or death.

Enhanced Term 10 eliminates the financial uncertainty associated with a serious illness by providing individuals or your businesses with an "advance benefit" payment when they need it most. With our Enhanced Term 10 plan, simply designate any portion up to 100% of the total death benefit to be paid as an "advance" upon the occurrence of a critical illness. Should the applicant then suffer one of the covered conditions and survive, the "advance benefit" selected at the time of application will be paid to maintain the lifestyle of the applicant or assist in his/her recovery. Life is uncertain. Enhanced T10 with Critical Illness Advance offers true peace of mind!

So why gamble with the future? Why take chances with your financial future? Statistics show that most of us are ten times more likely to suffer a life threatening illness and survive than to die. Take a moment to reflect on the people you know. friends, associates, or family. who may have suffered a heart attack, stroke or unexpected death. Surely, they could not predict that such an event would happen, but all too often they miss the opportunity to plan adequately for the financial aftermath that follows.
