Description

The Enhanced T10 plan is available as a stand-alone policy.

Issue Ages - (Age Last)
 

  • 18 to 65 
     

Issue Limits

Life insurance amount

  • $100,000 to $2,000,000
     

After 10 years, the face amount can be reduced to as low as $25,000 as long as the advance benefit meets the $25,000 requirement.

Critical Illness benefit

  • Minimum "advance benefit" - 25% of the face amount of the policy
  • Maximum "advance benefit" - 100% of the face amount, up to $1,000,000
     

Conversion (life only)

Convertible to any permanent life insurance plan designated as a conversion product, without further evidence of insurability, up to age 70. The amount available for conversion is reduced by the amount of any "advance benefit" paid.

Benefit Payment

Upon death

  • Payment of 100% of the life death benefit if no "advance benefit" has been requested.
     

In case of critical illness

  • Payment of the "advance benefit" chosen on the application following the diagnosis of a covered critical illness or of a medical problem.
  • The coverage terminates itself if 100% of the benefit is paid.
  • If the payment is less than 100% of the entire benefit, the sum insured is reduced by that amount and the premiums are also adjusted accordingly.
     

Following an angioplasty

  • If this coverage is selected, 10% of the advance benefit is paid up to $100,000.
     

Annual Policy Fees
 

  • Single life: $135 (commissionnable)
  • Joint life: not available
     

Modal Factors
 

  • Semi-annual  .52 x total annual premium
  • Monthly PAC  .09 x total annual premium + $1.00

The Desjardins Financial Security application must be completed in full.

  • Accidental Death or Dismemberment
  • Accidental Fracture Rider

  • Children's Accidental Fracture (available only if the Child Protection rider is selected)
     

Angioplasty Rider
 
An optional rider that provides an advance payment of 10% of the Critical Illness (C.I) coverage amount in the event of an Angioplasty procedure.
After an angioplasty claim is paid-out:
 

  • The Angio Rider is terminated and the Angio Rider
  • premiums stop.
  • The CI coverage amount is reduced by 10%.
  • The life coverage is reduced by the same $ amount.
  • The premium for the remaining coverage is adjusted accordingly.
     

Preferred risk on life insurance
 

  • 5 classes: Non-smoker
  • 4 classes: Smoker
